The questions we get most often

What counts as a 'successful booking'?

A booking moves to the CONFIRMED state, with a portal reference + evidence bundle. Failed attempts, soft errors, and retries don't count against your quota. If we never confirm, it never hits the meter.

What happens when I exceed my monthly quota?

Overages queue up to 120% of your quota (Entry: 60 bookings, Pro: 240). Each overage booking is billed on your next invoice at $14.99 (Entry) or $9.99 (Pro). Past 120%, new bookings are rejected with a clear error until the next cycle — we'd rather stop than surprise you with a runaway bill.

Can I switch plans mid-month?

Yes. Upgrade Entry → Pro from /billing in-product. Stripe handles proration — you pay a prorated amount for the remainder of the current cycle, and your quota increases immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle to avoid clawback.

Do I pay if the portal is closed or has no slots?

Individuals: no. If we couldn't confirm a booking within your date window, your charge is refunded automatically. Agencies: a failed booking doesn't count against your quota — we only meter successful confirmations.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Agencies cancel from /billing (Stripe portal). Cancelled subscriptions run until the end of the current cycle, then close. No clawback on in-flight bookings.

Do you take a percentage of government visa fees?

No. Our pricing is the number you see. Visa fees, biometrics, and premium lounge fees go directly to the portal — Opaige never touches them.
